IRISH SLANG

Just thought i'd post some very fun, and very interesting slang for you guys to peruse for your pleasure. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did, it was ROFLMFAO funny!!!!

Chubbed Up: The act of having an erection
Air Biscuit: A Fart
Bettys: Women
Eejit: Someone of reduced intellectual capacity (also 'Gobshite')
Alco (n): someone who's always drunk
Amadán (Omadhan) (n): idiot
Arse (n): backside
Ask me arse/bollocks; go and shite; eff off and don't be annoying me (phr): general ways of telling someone to shut up
As sharp as a beach ball
As small as a mouse's diddy
As useless as tits on a bull
Aussie kiss (n): cunnilingus /similar to a French Kiss, but given down under
Baldy, as in "I haven't got a baldy" (phr): I haven't a clue
Ball of shite (n): as in, my dad's old car was a ball of shite
Ball-bag (n): scrotum but used to mean total idiot
Bevvies (n): alcoholic drinks
BOBFOC (n): Body Off Baywatch, Face Off Crimewatch, eg. "she's a Bobfoc"
Bollocks (n): anyone you think is stupid
Bolloxed (a): very drunk
Buckled (v): drunk
Caffler (n): arsehole, idiot, eejit
Coodle (n): shit
Drink Link (n): a bank ATM
Drop the hand (phr): gain access to a female's nether regions, go below the belt etc.
Dummy/Dummy Tit (n): pacifier
Elephants (n): drunk
Erection section (n): slow set at a disco
Flaming (a): drunk
50p lifesaver (n): condom
Feck (n): used instead of the other F word
Fecker (n): used instead of the other F word
Fecky the Ninth (n): complete idiot
Fluthered (a): drunk
Gargle (n & v): alcohol - to go out drinking
Gee-Eyed (a): drunk
Goozer (n): kiss
Hooley (n): party or celebrationHoor (n): an all-purpose type of word. Someone you disapprove of can be 'a right old hoor', but you can also have 'not a bad old hoor' ( kind of grudging respect).
Hoor's Melt (n): offspring of a hoor, a bit like "son of a bitch"
Horrors (n): drunk, e.g. I was in the horrors last night

Wow, there seem to be a lot of slang words for drunk, LOL. Hardly surprising considering the amount of pubs there are in Ireland compared to how small the island is. But, that's not nearly the full amount of slang terms. I hope you don't have any "flaming" experiences while in Ireland. A little fun but no FLAMING ......... it's just not that much fun afterwards. (if you get my drift).
